Role Overview:

We are seeking for skilled and versatile QA Engineers with expertise in manual and/or automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing:

- Review and clarify requirements with stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

- Collaborate with developers to understand features and functionality.

- Document and provide feedback on the developed stories and fixed bugs in the sprint.

- Execute manual test cases based on functional and non-functional specifications.

- Perform defect identification and report findings effectively.

- Execute manual regression tests to ensure ongoing product stability.

- Perform retesting and regression testing after bugs are fixed.

- Collaborate with other QA engineers and development teams to ensure product quality.

- Optimize and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency.

- Monitor and track test metrics for continuous process improvement.

Automation Testing:

- Create, adapt, and write automated test cases based on specifications.

- Develop test data for automated testing, often using SQL based on specification and database models.

- Engage with developers and the specification team to discuss complex topics and resolve ambiguities.

- Estimate work packages for new releases and define regression tests.

- Perform end-to-end (E2E) testing and develop test automation scripts using Selenium or Selenium-based frameworks.

- Utilize XPath and CSS strategies for element location within automated tests.

- Write and maintain test automation routines in Java/Groovy.

- Leverage Java frameworks to generate test data for automation purposes.

- Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter, and contribute to the DevOps pipeline.

Skills & Experience Required:

Educational Background:

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields, or comparable training.

Technical Expertise:

- Strong experience with manual testing standards and methods, including defect identification and regression testing.

- Proficiency in test automation with frameworks like Selenium, including writing and executing automated test cases in Java/Groovy.

- Solid knowledge of SQL and ability to create test data for automated and manual tests.

- Familiarity with performance testing and tools like JMeter.

- Experience with Jira and Xray plugin for defect and test management.

- Understanding of version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.

Language Skills:

- Fluent in written and spoken German (C1 level preferred) for communication with the team and documentation.

- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
